With Love

Like all translators I have some favourite stories that I like to hog. XD But depending on my time management and motivation, since I translate for another 3 teams, it will take forever before I go through all the them. So just because I've listed a bunch of stories doesn't mean they are off limits to others. If there's a group out there who'd like to work on any of these please let me know. :)

I adore Aida Saki, and I adore Nakamura even more, so this novel really caught my interest, even though I generally dislike fantasy.

I'm rushing to finish some translations, so I haven't read it yet, but here the general gist (omitting names because it's fantasy and all the names are weird and hard to spell XD): The third Prince of a weak country is a politcal hostage held in a strong country. Because he looks so much like his mother = beautiful, the old king of the strong country makes him his sex slave, which the prince has to endure in order to protect his own country. One day the prince meets a gladiator who has lost his memory and he takes him in as his servant, the two grow close, but there is a secret behind this man...

There is also a drama CD for this story, played by Yasumoto x Kamiya. <3

Judging from the reviews, even though the prince is a typical "oh-my-beauty-is-my-downfall" type of uke, he personality is strong and not girly at all. Nakamura's art always reminds me of Aubrey Beardsley, and in my opinion she's the perfect choice for illustrating the tanbi fantasy genre, my only worry is that it may not complement Aida's writing style, which tends towards realism. I took a peek at the illustrations and... some pics are rather hard core and definitely NOT work safe, so be warned!! Also a special warning... there's a bit of Dragon/Human 'interaction' near the end. >:D

I'm REALLY REALLY SHOCKED that Shiro will not be voiced by Hirakawa though. ;_; I like Hatano too, but he's just NOT SHIRO, if you know what I mean. D: Depending on how the OVA turns out to be, I might not even treat it as canon. :P I wonder who's gonna play Yonekuni?

Remember my last post about the sequel to "I can't even breath without you"? Well I've read the novel, despite the fact that there're a million things waiting to be done, and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would! <3

Truth be told, I never liked this couple. Over-dependent love scares me, and I really dislike characters who act like a big baby like Ruko-chan. :( I only follow the series because it's Eda Yuuri and Enjin Yamimaru (and the CD's Konishi x Fukuyama, which gets extra points :D). But Eda-sensei doesn't disappoint, and the story, as the last book of her Mangaka Universe, wraps things up quite nicely, and the story gives us more insight into the dynamics of the couple and you really get a sense of how much they belong to each other as you want them grow. A rough summary (in white, hightlight to read it), don't click on the cut if you don't want to spoil yourself before the manga comes out!

And great news: some people had speculated that sp28 will be the end of the series since it has such a "everybody get together and round things up" sort of theme to it, but according to Kotobuki-sensei's message board, there are still untold stories about Kunimasa and Norio that she's like to continue, and that once the reprint of Concrete Garden is over in July, she'll be in shape to write the next chapter. <33

Oookly now I want some suggestion from people. I have a short Shinba Rize in mind for my next post, how does that sound? Got anything better?

Again, since SP is LICENSED, please support the author and buy her books! I'd also really appreciate it if you do not use this script for scanlation, because the one we have is more than half-done and we don't want you to spend hours battling with photoshop only to duplicate the effort. ^_^;
